Brian Knauer walked calmly and coolly into his room. It wasn't as big as his other room had been but it was nice enough. The window in front of him revealed the true colors of the sky: deep, pure blue. It was dotted with the occasional tuff of fluff and the giant orb known by most as the sun. It reflected his emotions rather well as he sat down on the bed. Shaking his head slightly, he removed his cream hued cowboy hat and aviator glasses, staring ahead at the blank wall as if it entranced him.
A sigh managed to escape his lips as he blinked slowly, trying to think over what had happened in his life... Nothing but pain but that wasn't the point. Deciding that sitting around and moping wasn't helping him any, he stood up and exited the room only to be greeted by his German Sheperd, Bane. Rubbing the massive canine's auds, he mosied out to the kitchen, pressing the on button for the coffee maker.
It started up, humming as if it had nothing better to do. It didn't take long for the 'ding' to ring in the air. Grabbing a mug, Brian poured some of the bitter liquid into the glass, daring to take a small sip of it. He shuddered slightly at the bitter taste, shaking his head. Another sigh escaped his lips as he turned and looked out the other window. One thing was for sure, he was happy that he was still here.

Stealthy strides carried Artemis Piercen's slender frame around Allenville Prison. She had escaped her cell and was wandering freely around searching for a way out of the view of security cameras and the view of guards from the watchtower. She needed a way out.
Elegant black hair cascaded to her waist as beautiful green eyes gleamed out from behind the mask of untrimmed bangs. A pause was taken as her ears heard the ding of a coffee machine. Shit. She had somehow gotten to the Guard's quarters. This was not good. She couldn't come back the way she came but had to get across the open door without being seen... Not good. Not good at all.

Captain Knauer had just poured himself a cup of coffee before his gaze lingered up to the window. Shit. A prisoner. "Hey!" he exclaimed and dropped the coffee cup only to have it shatter against the counter as he bolted towards the door in a freinzed attempt to capture the escaped convict. Taking the corner as sharp as he could, he couldn't help but wonder how the hell this prisoner had gotten this far without being caught by someone else. Mentally cursing, he would get Lambert and Engleheart for this.
Those two dumb asses couldn't do anything right. No surprise though for he was the Captain and not them. He reached for his nightstick, ready to bring it down on the prisoner that he had been instructed to watch. How could he be so stupid as to leave her unattended? She was a five-star after all...

Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. This was NOT good. Sighing slightly, Artemis dashed, legs bounding across the land as Knauer took off after her.
((really crappy post, but my brain isn't working.))

<<it's okay...>>
Growling, he quickened his pace as he dashed across the land in a freinzied attempt to catch her. As he ran, he got closer and closer to the free inmate. It didn't take long for his long legs to bring him to her. Seizing her upper arm, he took her down with a bit of trouble. He knew she was going to struggle as he attempted to catch his breath. "What...*pant*...are you doing...*pant*...inmate?"

"What does it look like, Knauer?"
Arti asked, rolling her eyes as she was trapped under the prison guard captian.
"I sure as hell wasn't taking a walk in the park."
A smirk passed across the 5 star inmate's face as a maniacal insult formed in her twisted mind.
"It seems that every time we run into each other this happens, Knauer. Are you sure you don't have a hidden fetish somewhere?"
Sarcasm dripped in her tones as she laughed evily.

A growl passed between Knauer's lips as he pulled tried to wrestle her arms behind her back. He was not in the mood for her smart ass remarks but he knew that he was going to get them out of her whether he liked it or not. "It sure seems that way, doesn't it Inmate? Good thing I don't have a fetish or you would be in big trouble." A grunt passed between his lips as sweat trickled down his face. "If you don't struggle, I won't beat you as harshly," a sort of teasing tone dripped out of his mouth as he panted.

Cold laughter spilled from Arti's lips,
"You couldn't take me if you tried, Captian."
She laughed, humor dazzling her emerald eyes as her stare met Knauers'. Artemis had been through attepmted rape all her life. No one had voilated her yet... that was actually why she was in this prison as a 5 star girl. Assault... on no less then her S.W.A.T commanding officer that tried her have his way with her.... He ended up in the hospital...

He smirked. "I don't want to go that far Inmate. I have self control." He stood up, hauling her to her feet. He held her arms behind her, checking the legs of her pants for a knife or something. He wasn't stupid when it came to Arti. He sighed as he regained his breath. "C'mon. Lets get you back to the cell before the Warden has my hide." He had to admit, he had become a bit fond of Arti over the years she had been here.

Arti looked impressed,
"It's good to know that some men around here have some self control."
The inmate got to her feet slowly, brushing the dust off her clothing.
"Would it be possible to request sizors, a mirror, and a hairbrush?"
The convict asked, all of a sudden feeling very self concious. She hadn't had her hair trimmed in ages. Artemis just loved it when she ran away, it was like a game of cat and mouse. She too had also grown fond of Knauer over the years.

"Ha, ha, ha, you aren't getting scissors Artie, you know that," he said, brushing his pants off with one of his hands. "If you want your hair taken care of, I'm sure the Warden would love to request a salon worker to come and take care of it." He gently tugged on her arm to have her walk beside him. He looked at her for a moment before looking ahead. "Besides, you don't look too bad."

~That's nice to know~ Artemis thought as she took a step towards her cell block. And she could always just escape again and get a knife from the kitchen cuz there was no way in hell she was going to ask for the warden for something.

"I know what you're thinking Arti. You escape again, the Warden will have your head as well as mine." He chuckled slightly as he opened up her cell. He pushed her in, closing the door behind him. "You are quite the sneaky one Arti and usually, that isn't a good thing. Especially around here." He let go of her arm, looking at her with a sort of gentleness that he hadn't showed anyone else.

~Snap.~ the female convict swore inwardly ~I swear Knauer can read minds....~ A wave of sadness swept the girl as Knauer shut her in, she sighed. I think he was the closest thing he was to her loving someone. Sad, though it was. A prisnor guard, the only thing a prisnor had.

He sighed softly at the look in her eyes. He knew that they would never work out no matter how hard he wanted it to. "I'm sorry Arti," the words escaped his lips just barely a whisper as he looked at her with a sense of pity. Women, they were the only ones in this world who should be respected. Nonetheless... this just wasn't normal for him.
