The Warden lifted a bushy eyebrow, pausing to watch in puzzlement as his captain, who usually did what he expected despite a few grumbles, was actually defying him. His eyes flew open in surprise as Knauer mentioned "Michelle" as part of his defense system for Kaylen. Hazen stepped back slightly as Knauer and Kaylen pushed through the crowd of gathering patrolemen.
Seeing that all of his guards were looking at the Warden, as if he should be stopping them, or acting like his usual angry self, Hazen made a quick decision. "That's it, Knauer. I've had just about enough of this bullshit. Either you stop right there, son, and let go of that inmate, or I'll fire you on the spot. You won't be able to get another job in any prison in this county son, not with your new reputation. Now, what will your decision be?" He stood his ground, hands on his hip, one clutching his nightstick.

Kaylen felt herself being pulled by the hand by Brian, her hair whipping behind her slightly as she moved behind him , being guarded by the other men as they made their way into the women's quarters. She could tell that this showdown was one of many that had gone down, and she knew that there would be many more between Hazen and Knauer. She stopped in her tracks when she heard the Warden speak, about Knauer loosing his job over her. The realization of the seriousness of they're situation was kicking in, and she pulled on Brian's hand frantically. "Stop this." She said simply, knowing that he needed to obey the Warden.

Knauer halted, hearing the threat of the Warden and thanks to Kaylen's constant tugs on his arm. His head was bowed to hide his eyes as he suppressed a shudder. "Kaylen, I need you to go back to your cell. Whatever happens between the Warden and me... I don't want you to worry," his tone was soft as he shifted his gaze to her for a moment. "Just use your head." He shifted his gaze to her for a moment and gave a weak smile. He then turned to meet the Warden, his gaze locking with his. "What can I do for you Warden?" he asked firmly, willing to not tear his gaze from the Warden's.
He too had had enough bullshit from this nonsense. All he wanted was to be left alone and to be happy. He did all he could to keep his hand from going into a fist. His eyes narrowed slightly as he stood there. "IF you want to fire me, sir, that's your choice. But you also know that you'll never get another Captain like myself." He was serious too. He had been one of the best Captain since Allenville was created. He didn't take shit from anyone or anything. "Now it's time for you to decide." He wasn't frightened by the Warden's intimidating pose.
If he was fired, he would just have to do something to get back in here. All of these guards had so much respect for him. Ever since the ending of the football game, life hadn't been the same. Punishments were harder on every indiviudal. The Warden was often in a shitty mood. Things had changed. The guards were barely in control of what was happening. Even he, Captain Brian Knauer of Allenville, star Quarter Back, had lost most of his control and this angered him.
<<dun dun dun... haha. Sorry XD>>
